OBSTACLE DETECTION TECHNOLOGY REDUCES COLLISIONS

We know that reducing or eliminating blind spots and improving visibility for drivers is critical for operators of commercial vehicles. And whilst safety devices such as mirrors or wide-angle camera systems are now used more frequently, the data shows that HVG vehicles are still involved in a disproportionate number of fatal accidents.

WE ARE ON A MISSION AT BOUNDARY TO CHANGE THOSE STATISTICS

Our obstacle detecting technology reduces the risk of vehicle damage and collisions with pedestrians, cyclists and static objects. It’s ideal for commercial vehicles operating in tight spaces, heavy footfall areas, or manoeuvring at low speeds. This technology can be used as a standalone or integrated solution, connecting to our Live Platform for advanced monitoring.

OBSTACLE DETECTION SOLUTIONS

Side detect sensors

Four sensor systems are fitted to the side of the vehicle. Fitted to the near side blind spot, where cyclists or pedestrians are most likely to go undetected.

FRONT DETECT SENSORS

Four sensor systems are fitted to the front of the vehicle. This system is particularly relevant for the front blind spot on high cabs, where smaller objects or pedestrians can be obstructed.

CORNER DETECT SENSORS

Four sensor system fitted to the near side corner of the vehicle cab. It’s been designed to detect objects in front near side blind spot, reducing the risk of vehicle damage whilst manoeuvring.

REAR DETECT SENSORS

Four sensor systems fitted in the rear of the vehicle will help your drivers reverse safely.

360 DETECTION SYSTEM

Our highly innovative team has developed the safest and most informative sensor detection system available in the UK. This detection system uses anywhere from four to 16 ultrasonic sensors to provide your drivers with a clear indication of obstacles around the vehicle below a predefined vehicle speed. The visual display uses a traffic light system at fixed points around the vehicle, allowing drivers of any nationality to understand the display and stay at a safe distance whilst manoeuvring.
